Improved land is such as has been reclaimed, is used for the purpose ofhusbandry, and is cultivated as such, whether the appropriation is for tillage, meadow,or pasture. “Improve” is synonymous with “cultivate.” Clark v. Phelps, 4 Cow. (X. Y.)190.
