Workers are divided into three common categories: (1) Wage and salary worker, who receives daily, weekly, or monthly compensation including commission or tips, (2) Self-employed worker, who owns a business, farm, or profession, and works for commission, fee, or profit , (3) Unpaid family worker, who works for 15 plus hours a week in a family business or farm for no cash compensation.
