A federal court created by act of Congress in 1891 (26 Stat. 854 [U. S. Comp. St. 1901, p. 705]), to hear and determine claims by private parties to lands within the public domain , where such claims originated under Spanish or Mexican grants, and had not already been confirmed by Congress or otherwise adjudicated. The existence and authority of this court were to cease and determine at the end of the year 1895.
